Day 1

We found our bus driver, Jerry, and got on the bus for the first time. They call buses coaches here! We went to the heart of Dublin and Jerry gave us our first tour of the city.

We saw a lot of the city and Jerry was very knowledgable!

There were a lot more new, big buildings than I expected. We toured around for a while and then were given the opportunity to get off the bus and wander around. We exchanged some money into Euros and then ate lunch. We ate a place called Kilkenny. This isn't the city, but a store with a little restaurant/cafe upstairs. I ate a tomato, mozzarella, and pesto sandwich with a side of salad and fries.

We then just headed out to pick up a wheelchair for someone in our group and then to check into our hotel. I fell asleep on the bus. Jerry surprised us and took us to a huge park. 

Then we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Ashling Hotel. It was very nice! 

We got ready and then went to get dinner. Down the street was a place called Nancy Hand's and thats where we got dinner. I had my first legal drink there! It was a cute place. We then took a walk to the park that was right there and we saw ducks and a swan.

Then I passed out in my hotel room at 8:30pm. Amber Wallach is my roommate and she fell asleep very soon too. We woke up at 2:00am with the light still on so we shut it off and fell asleep again.
